Ribbons Statement

The Ribbon Series is shot as light and wind pass through curtains of grosgrain ribbons hanging as walls for a garden tea house serving as a place for daily pratice of qi-gong exercises and meditation. The photographs resemble ephemeral landscapes that quietly invite viewers to question the verisimilitude of the image while beckoning them to forsake their attachment to certainty and instead allow themselves to simply enjoy soft beauty and rich colors. Suspended between these opposing forces, the viewer may find a comfortable space to let the mind rest and be.
